Ziele

Die Teilnehmer*innen erhalten eine Übersicht über die wichtigsten Forschungsförderer auf nationaler und europäischer Ebene sowie die für die aktuelle Situation der Teilnehmerinnen relevanten Förderinstrumente. Projektplanung, Antragstellung sowie Begutachtung werden vorgestellt. Der Workshop bereitet die Teilnehmer*innen auf die selbstständige Drittmittelakquise vor und stellt ihnen Werkzeuge für die erfolgreiche Projektplanung zur Verfügung.

Inhalte

Im Seminars geht es darum, eine Übersicht über die wichtigsten Forschungsförderer auf nationaler und europäischer Ebene zu erhalten sowie die für die aktuelle Situation der Teilnehmerinnen relevanten Förderinstrumente vorzustellen. Es werden Strategien und Tools für die konkrete Antragsgestaltung und –stellung präsentiert. 

Gängige Begutachtungsverfahren werden abgebildet, sowie Einblicke in formelle und informelle Aspekte der Begutachtung gewährt. Der Umgang mit abgelehnten Anträgen wird behandelt. Die Teilnehmer*innen werden dabei unterstützt, Ideen zu entwickeln, welche Instrumente besonders geeignet für ihre individuelle Karrieresituation und die strategische Entwicklung ihrer Forschungsvorhaben sein könnten.

Durchführung

Neben Input durch die Trainerin in Vorträgen wird den Teilnehmer*innen in Einzel- und Gruppenübungen die Möglichkeit gegeben, an eigenen Antragsteilen/Projektkonzepten zu arbeiten. Im Rollenspiel erleben die Teilnehmer*innen Begutachtungsverfahren. Zur Entwicklung individueller nächster Schritte dient u.a. das Peer Feedback.

Aims

The participants get an overview of the most important research funders at national and European level as well as the funding instruments relevant to the current situation of the participants. Project planning, application and assessment are presented. The workshop prepares the participants for independent third-party funding acquisition and provides them with tools for successful project planning.

Content

The seminar generates an overview of the most important research funding bodies at national and European level and presents the funding instruments relevant to the current situation of the participants. Strategies and tools for the specific application design and submission are presented.

Common assessment procedures will be presented and insights into formal and informal aspects of the assessment will be provided. The handling of rejected applications will be discussed. The participants are supported in developing ideas which instruments could be particularly suitable for their individual career situation and the strategic development of their research projects.

Procedure

In addition to input from the trainer in lectures, participants are given the opportunity to work on their own application parts / project concepts in individual and group exercises. In the role play, the participants experience assessment procedures. For the development of individual next steps the peer feedback can be helpful.
